There are two types of fees associated with becoming certified and being certified. The size of the fees is not yet decided, and will be set in the trial phase of the certification system.
The certification system operator (CSO) runs the certification system on a non-for-profit basis. The fees will be adjusted to only compensate for the operational costs of the system. Fees paid to accredited certification bodies and individual auditors for certification audits are not presented here and are set as individual agreements between the organisation applying for certification and the auditor.
The fees for becoming certified are:
Certification fee – A fee to the certification system covering administration of the certificate during the validity period. The certification fee is set by the CSO together with the certification committee.
Annual fee – A certified organisation will have to pay an annual fee to the certification system. The fee covers development, communication and general operation of the system. The annual fee is set by the CSO together with the certification committee. The annual fee will be diversified based on the annual collected and/or treated quantities of used textiles.
